Who you are dealing with
UnHTML is made and sold by Ievgeniia Onokhova, a sole proprietor based in California, United States. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Ievgeniia Onokhova, and "you" means the person or organisation using UnHTML.
You can reach us at support@unhtml.pro for support, billing questions, privacy requests, and legal notices.
The kharnaa.com link in the footer is a personal site and is not party to these terms.
Paddle is the merchant of record
We do not take your payment ourselves. Every UnHTML purchase is sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and the authorised reseller of the product.
In practice this means Paddle is the seller on the transaction, Paddle collects the payment, Paddle handles VAT, GST and sales tax and remits it to the relevant authority, and Paddle processes any refund. The charge on your card or bank statement comes from Paddle, not from us, and so does any refund.
Because Paddle is the seller of record, Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy apply to your purchase in addition to these terms. Which Paddle company you contract with depends on where you are; Paddle's own terms set that out.
These terms govern your use of the software. Paddle's terms govern the transaction. Where the two genuinely conflict on a question about the transaction itself, Paddle's terms win for that question.
The free version
UnHTML is free to install and use from the Figma Community. The free version is the complete importer, including auto-layout built from the page's real CSS, and it caps each import at 500 layers.
The free version is licensed for personal use and comes with community support. If you want to use UnHTML in work you are paid for, you need a Pro or Studio licence.
What a paid licence gives you
Pro and Studio are one-time purchases. Nothing renews, and there is no subscription to cancel.
- Pro, $39, one licence per editor. One person may use it. It removes the 500-layer cap, adds desktop, mobile and custom viewports, adds import reports and the font-substitution log, and permits commercial use.
- Studio, $119, up to 5 editors. Everything in Pro for as many as five named people, plus priority support.
A licence is granted to you personally, or to your organisation if the organisation bought it. It is non-exclusive and cannot be transferred to someone else without our written agreement.
"Editor" means one individual human being. A licence seat is not a floating seat and cannot be shared, rotated between people, or pooled across a team beyond the number of editors it covers. Studio's cap is five editors, and the software enforces it.
Commercial use
With Pro or Studio you may use UnHTML in paid client work and in commercial projects, including work you deliver to someone else. What you produce with UnHTML is yours; we claim no rights over your Figma files or your output.
What the licence does not allow
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, rent, lend or redistribute UnHTML, or any part of it, whether on its own or bundled into another product;
- publish a modified version of the plugin, or repackage it as your own product or service;
- share a licence key beyond the number of editors it covers, or publish a key anywhere others can use it;
- work around, disable or interfere with the licence check described below;
- decompile or reverse engineer the plugin, except to the extent the law expressly gives you that right and you have asked us first.
The open-source capture CLI and bookmarklet are a separate matter. They are published under their own open-source licence, and that licence, not this section, governs what you may do with them.
How long the licence lasts, and how long updates last
These are two different clocks, and it is worth being exact about them.
Your licence is perpetual. The version of UnHTML you own keeps working for as long as you want to use it. There is no date on which a paid licence stops functioning and no renewal to pay.
Updates are included for 12 months from the date of purchase. During that year you get every new release at no extra cost. After it, the version you already have continues to work exactly as before; you simply stop receiving new releases.
One thing outside our control is worth naming: UnHTML is a Figma plugin, so it depends on Figma's plugin platform. If Figma changes or withdraws that platform in a way that breaks the plugin, a perpetual licence cannot protect against it. We will say so publicly if that ever happens.
Licence keys and the seat check
When your purchase completes, we issue a licence key in the form UNHT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and email it to the address you gave at checkout. It arrives from keys@unhtml.pro, so check your spam folder for that address if you do not see it. Keys are issued by us, not by Paddle. If it has not arrived, email support@unhtml.pro and we will find it and resend it.
You enter the key once in the plugin. From then on the plugin checks it against our server to confirm the licence is valid and to hold your seat. So that you know exactly what to expect:
- The check runs about once every 7 days. Between checks the plugin works offline and makes no request at all.
- The check sends only your licence key and your Figma user ID. It never sends anything from your Figma file or from a page you have imported.
- If the server cannot be reached, your paid features keep working for a further 14 days while it retries. You need occasional internet access, not a constant connection.
- If the server positively rejects the key, because it was refunded or revoked or is not a real key, the plugin returns to the free version straight away.
- The first check from a given Figma account claims one seat. Rechecking from the same account never uses another. When all seats on a key are claimed, a new person gets a clear seat-limit message rather than a silent failure.
If you need to move a seat to a different person or machine, email us and we will release it.
Keep your key to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your key, and a key that is shared publicly may be revoked.
Prices
Prices shown on the site are launch prices and may change. A change never applies backwards: a purchase you have already made stays at the price you paid, and we will not come back to you for a difference.
The price you see at checkout may include tax depending on where you are, and Paddle works that out and shows it before you pay.
Refunds
You can request a refund within 14 days of your purchase. Refunds are processed by Paddle, and the full detail, including how to ask and what happens to your key, is on the refund policy page.
Acceptable use
UnHTML imports webpages that you supply. That puts a responsibility on you which we cannot check on your behalf.
You must only import pages you have the right to import. Someone else's website, its design, its images, its fonts and its text are very often protected by copyright or covered by a licence or by terms of service. UnHTML converts a page into editable layers; it does not give you permission to use what those layers contain. Deciding whether you may capture a page, and what you may then do with the result, is yours to decide and yours to answer for.
You also must not use UnHTML:
- to break the law, or to infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- to get around a paywall, a login, or a technical measure protecting content;
- to pass someone else's design off as your own;
- in a way that damages, overloads or interferes with our systems or anyone else's.
What we promise, and what we do not
We do genuinely try to make UnHTML work well, and the site is honest about its limits: some pages convert beautifully and some do not. Pages built by JavaScript, pages behind a login, and pages that depend on remote assets are all harder, which is why the capture CLI exists.
Beyond that, UnHTML is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will convert any particular page, that a conversion will be perfect or complete, that it will suit a specific purpose, or that it will run without interruption or errors. You should check what an import produces before you rely on it.
Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live. Some of those rights cannot be excluded, and we are not attempting to exclude them.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with UnHTML is limited to the amount you actually paid for your licence.
We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost or corrupted work, lost time, or any indirect or consequential loss. Figma files are yours to back up, and an import is not a substitute for keeping your own copies.
We do not limit liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud.
Ending the licence
You can stop using UnHTML whenever you like, and you can uninstall the plugin from Figma at any time.
We may revoke a licence if it was refunded or charged back, if the key is being shared beyond the seats it covers, or if it is being used in serious breach of these terms. Where the situation allows it, we will contact you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we revoke a licence for breach, you are not entitled to a refund of what you paid.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example if the product changes or the law does. The date at the top of this page always shows when it last changed.
Changes apply from the date they are published and only going forward. If a change is significant and affects people who have already bought a licence, we will email licence holders rather than relying on you noticing this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts located in California.
If you are a consumer living outside the United States, this does not remove the protection of the consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there where that law gives you one.
Your purchase itself is a transaction with Paddle, so disputes about the payment, the tax, or the refund are covered by Paddle's own terms and by Paddle's arrangements for handling them.
